Half Moon Bay welcomes Iain Wakefield

Former Haynes Publishing man joins as head of licensing and business development.

Giftware licensee Half Moon Bay has strengthened its team, welcoming Iain Wakefield to the role of head of licensing and business development.

Iain (pictured) joins the company from Haynes Publishing, where he spent the past 14 years. During his time managing the licensing division, he worked closely with Half Moon Bay on a range of giftware and Haynes Explains gift books.

Prior to working at Haynes, Iain held positions at HarperCollins Publishers and Universal Studios.

He commented: “I have been fortunate enough to work with Half Moon Bay for many years and long admired the company. I’m looking forward to joining the team at such an exciting time and helping to further grow the business.”

Peter Thompson, md of Half Moon Bay, added: “I’ve known Iain for over ten years and am delighted he’s joining the team here.

“Iain’s international licensing knowledge and his publishing experience will really help Half Moon Bay as we continue to grow both our gift presence and our Ice House Books publishing imprint.”

Busy Half Moon Bay has already added close to 20 new licences across its three divisions so far for 2019.
