Hachette and UP&E team for Gabby’s Dollhouse book series

Hachette Children’s Group has signed a licensing deal with Universal Products & Experiences for a range of picture and activity books adapted from DreamWorks Animation’s hit preschool TV series, Gabby’s Dollhouse.

Featuring all of the readers’ favourite characters from the show, the Gabby’s Dollhouse books will showcase friendship, creativity and adventure in a range that will include stickers, activities and a search-and-find book,

The first book, The Sparkliest Day of the Year, published on 8 June, will be followed by A Fairy-tastic Sleepover and The Gabby Cats Save the Day later this year. Further titles will be published in 2024.

The Gabby’s Dollhouse brand also has a top-selling toy range from SpinMaster, while Signature Publishing launched the Adventures with Gabby’s Dollhouse magazine in January 2023.

Megan Larkin, Hachette Children’s group publishing director, commented: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be bringing the smash-hit DreamWorks show Gabby’s Dollhouse to readers. We can’t wait to celebrate the series fun and creativity through our interactive publishing programme.’’
