Cross category collection aiming to celebrate the ‘spirit of exploration’.
Luxury brand Gucci has teamed up with The North Face on a new collaboration which aims to celebrate the ‘spirit of exploration’.
The new cross category collection includes ready to wear, footwear and luggage and supports commitments both Gucci and The North Face have made to eco-sustainable activities, reported Fashion United. Recyclable materials have been used, as well as archival fabrics across the products.
Highlights of the range include goose-feather down padded coats, a bomber and a vest, plus shirts, skirts, dresses and jumpsuits, with designs inspired by original North Face styles from the 1970s.
The luggage comes in eight new graphic patterns which were designed collaboratively between the two brands. Each pattern features bright colours and a variety of either Gucci signature motifs or different versions of a new combined logo (which blends North Face’s three curved lines and Gucci’s green and red web stripe).
The collaboration also includes a gender-neutral hiking boot (pictured).
The collaboration launches today (January 4) at Selfridges London, followed by Gucci stores in Berlin, Paris, Milan and London from January 9. It will then launch online at Gucci and The North Face from January 22.
