Groovy Chick brand sparks retail success stories

TruffleShuffle and Primark among retailers enjoying success with nostalgia property.

Bang on the Door’s Groovy Chick is proving a hit for several retailers, both online and on the high street, as the nostalgia brand continues its resurgence.

The latest Groovy Chick t-shirt launch on TruffleShuffle has proven to be a huge success, with some strong responses on social media and in the press resulting in orders flying out, according to DRi Licensing.

This follows on from Misirli’s success in Primark earlier in the year with its Groovy Chick sock launch.

The socks were sold out within weeks causing a huge demand for more, which are due to hit stores later in the summer.

In addition, YouTube star Zoella has expressed her love for Groovy Chick in the past. Notably, the Misirli socks appeared on her Primark Summer Haul vlog, which has so far notched up over 1.5 million views.

DRi Licensing will be continuing to build the brand throughout the year as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Activity includes a second range of socks going into Primark and recent new partner signings with TDP Textiles and Moonpig.
