Ghostbusters collaborations galore to mark 40th anniversary this Halloween

In the lead-up to Halloween, Sony Pictures Consumer Products is celebrating the Ghostbusters film franchise with a robust new portfolio of consumer products and collaborations.

Following an action-packed year – anchored by the theatrical premiere of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire – the seasonal line-up is packed with Halloween offerings spanning across the lifestyle spectrum including food and beverage, unique footwear, toys, collectables, costumes and home décor.

The lineup comes at another particularly celebratory and apt time, as Sony Pictures is commemorating the 40th anniversary of the original Ghostbusters film this year.

“Marking the 40th anniversary of Ghostbusters is a momentous occasion for us, and we’re celebrating the milestone with a unique line of products and collaborations that embrace both the nostalgia and the fun of the franchise,” commented Jamie Stevens, evp worldwide consumer products at Sony Pictures Entertainment. “As Halloween approaches, these special products capture the essence of the film’s enduring magic, inviting fans to relive the excitement and share in the ghostbusting adventure during a particularly ghostly time of year.”

A key collaboration is with PUMA, with the a new collection featuring the Suede XL redesigned after two of Ghostbuster’s fiercest foes, Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, plus two accompanying graphic tees.

Krispy Kreme has also released a limited edition doughnut selection; Hasbro has a number of games and collectables; Disguise has a line of costumes and accessories; while FUN.com has inflatable lawn décor, as well as costumes for kids, adults and pets.
