Primark’s Rosie Hutchins talks the trends which are selling well for the retailer.
Primark has only just scratched the surface when it comes to uncovering the potential of gaming brands on licensed products, according to a key buyer from the fast fashion retailer.
Menswear buyer Rosie Hutchins – pictured above with colleagues (left to right) Gemma Sharpe, Joe Hales and Sarah Jester – spoke to Licensing Source Book as part of the judging of the product categories for this year’s Licensing Awards.
When asked which trends were performing well for the retailer, Rosie said: “Gaming properties on menswear offers huge potential for us – and we have only just scratched the surface.
“Game of Thrones remains undeniably popular and Walking Dead is holding its own.”
Rosie continued: “The trend for nostalgic brands, such as SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog and Nintendo’s Super Mario, are set for a strong Christmas – with a bit of The Grinch in there for good measure.”
