Geek is Chic founder Owen Delahaye names his highlights in the run up to Christmas.
Games licences will continue in their growth and it’s not something that can be ignored, according to the founder of Geek is Chic.
Owen Delahaye – pictured (right) with colleague Chloe Weston – spoke to Licensing Source Book as part of the judging of the product categories for this year’s Licensing Awards.
When asked about the trends he was witnessing, Owen commented: “Gaming is bound to gain more traction, with high hopes for the new Fallout game and Resident Evil.”
He continued: “I am also sensing people are latching onto retro film properties – influencer Cutie Pie has even predicted that Starship Trooper is ripe for a comeback.”
Owen also highlighted the popularity of Cartoon Network’s Rick and Morty property.
“You cannot ignore the popularity of Rick and Morty with their craziness being spot on for these crazy times we are currently living in,” he said.
