Licensee marks third year as one of Britain’s fastest growing international sales stars.
Giftware licensee Paladone is celebrating its third year listed in the Sunday Times league tables for international growth.
2018 saw the gift designer and wholesaler grow export sales by over 53%, allowing it to rank at 120th in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each year.
Last year Paladone ranked 57th in the same list and, in the year prior to that, was listed 36th on the Track 200’s baby brother league, the Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100.
The success has been attributed to recruitment and infrastructure in several US states, the relocation and development of the HK office, regionally focused product development and, more recently, the £13m investment from LDC – the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group – implemented to fuel global expansion and the advancement of Paladone’s online ecosystem.
Talking about the Sunday Times International Track 200, Amanda Murphy, head of commercial banking at HSBC, said: “All the businesses it showcases have truly inspiring stories to tell about creativity, resilience and ambition to succeed. The 42 companies in the southeast of England are putting the region firmly on the map.
“They are the kinds of enterprises we are thrilled to support and that provide the backbone of our economy, today and tomorrow.”
