The annual Funko EMEA charity fundraiser was this year held as a two-day event in the Hammersmith showroom on 28-29 March.
Funko employees were invited to spend their hard earned cash on the sample sales set up to raise money for The Light Fund.
The sales collectively raised £15,000 for the industry charity, with Funko EMEA matching this amount to bring the total donation to £30,000.
Funko’s distribution centre in Coventry also carried out a separate sample sale on 6-7 March, in which sales contributed to the final donation.
“Funko EMEA is absolutely thrilled to support such an amazing and important charity,” commented Lucy Salisbury, director of licensing EMEA at Funko. “Being part of the licensing industry, it’s an honour to support The Light Fund, who were born from the UK licensing space. Their work has changed lives and we couldn’t be more proud to play a small part in their causes.”
Robyn Cowling, part of The Light Fund committee, continued: “Funko are trailblazers in the licensing and pop culture space and we’re thrilled that they are choosing to support The Light Fund with this generous donation.”
