Global reach of property further expanded as ZAG welcomes brace of new partners.
Animation studio Zag continues to expand the global presence of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, securing a brace of partnerships in the collectables category.
Funko and PEZ have both signed up on a global basis for the property.
Funko is to launch a trio of collectable Pop stylised vinyl figures of the most popular characters – Ladybug with Tikki, Cat Noir with Plagg and super villain Hawk Moth. Products will be available worldwide (excluding Japan, China and Korea) from May.
Meanwhile, PEZ will create Ladybug and Cat Noir in its candy dispenser configuration.
The Parisian pair are anticipated to hit retail shelves worldwide starting in August in France, Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and more (excluding US and Canada). The PEZ agreement was brokered by Team! License, ZAG’s licensing agent in Germany.
Funko and PEZ join global/pan-regional licensing partners Bandai (master toy), Ferraro (Kinder Joy and Surprise Egg), Zara (perfume), Panini (magazines and sticker books) and GUESS? (kids’ fashion collection).
Zag founder and ceo, Jeremy Zag, commented: “We are really proud to collaborate with such illustrious partners.”
