Frisk brand makes waves in Japan

The Perfetti van Melle mint brand has been successfully licensed by Doshisha for personal care products.

Perfetti van Melle’s Frisk mint brand has been enjoying success in Japan thanks to licensee Doshisha, which has created a range of branded personal care products in the territory.

The company developed the world’s first ‘cool body lotion’ using the Frisk logo, as well as other cooling goods such as a shirt spray.

The range is marking its sixth year in 2021 and will now be available with a new original label: Frisk Fresh Touch.

There are 11 products in the range – the body lotion and shirt sprays (which joined the series last year) line up alongside cooling sprays and body sheets, as well as mask sprays.

The fresh products are designed to ‘boost your mood’ says Doshisha, with the refreshing scent inspired by Frisk.

“It is a joy to work with a partner like Doshisha that has a deep understanding of our Frisk brand and of the habits and new personal care needs of young Japanese consumers,” commented Christine Cool, area licensing manager at Perfetti van Melle.
