Frida Kahlo licensing drive lights up

Flamingo Candles launches new collection for lifestyle property.

The licensing programme for Frida Kahlo is continuing to move into new categories, with Flamingo Candles the latest licensee to launch product.

A new collection of nine scented candles, key rings and a star wall art piece have all launched this week from the company.

Flamingo Candles – which began life in 2013 – is based in South Wales, where the team designs and hand pours the candles using natural soy wax, cottons wicks and fragrances.

Typical outlets for Flamingo Candles products include Topshop, Urban Outfitters, ASOS, Missguided, Pretty Little Thing, Firebox, Moonpig, Amazon, Very and Not on the High Street.

“We love Frida Kahlo’s art and spirit and feel that both she and her work fit in extremely well with our brand,” said Ryan Francis, md of Flamingo Candles. “We’re very excited to be collaborating with such an inspirational icon and want the products to be a talking point by reflecting Frida’s passion, optimism and courage.”

The deal was secured by Art Ask Agency.
