Fortnite reveals Nike Air Jordan collaboration

New themed game mode added, plus special skins of the basketball sneakers.

Epic Games has partnered with Nike’s Air Jordan brand in a collaboration which will see branded content appear in Fortnite.

As well as a specially themed game mode, players will also get to pick up Jordan gear.

The new Hang Time bundle includes two outfits featuring Jordan gear, called Grind and Clutch, reported Polygon. A red and black colour scheme includes the Jumpman logo, while the Air Jordan Is sneakers can be changed to a variety of alternative colours.

The skins also have an exclusive challenge pack, giving players the chance to unlock new colour variants.

Meanwhile, the Downtown Drop by Jordan game mode focuses on skateboarding and has players jumping and doing tricks around a custom map to collect coins. A new skateboard, Back Bling, can be unlocked by completing challenges in the new game mode.

This is the latest in a line of collaborations for the Fortnite brand. Last week, Epic Games released a John Wick skin and game mode, while it teamed with Marvel earlier in the month for an Avengers: Endgame mode. Last year saw Fornite partner with NFL to releases skins for each of the National Football League’s 32 teams.
