Licensee teams with other Cortina divisions to acquire 200,000 facemasks to donate to healthcare system in Belgium.
Leomil, the global licensed footwear specialist, has teamed up with the other divisions of Cortina to activate its trade connections in Asia and acquire 200,000 facemasks.
The masks have been donated to the healthcare system in Belgium, with most being distributed this week to nurses, doctors, homes for the elderly and other frontline caregivers who are in need during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Cortina Group – through its profession footwear division, Safety Jogger – is also a supplier of footwear to the medical industries.
A statement read: “In current circumstances we decided to go the extra mile and do our part in these difficult times to help fight the coronavirus, or COVID-19. The remaining 50,000 masks have been made available for requests from any organisation that might be in need.”
