First My Little Pony: The Movie trailer arrives

Hotly tipped movie based on Hasbro brand is due to arrive in October.

The first trailer for the eagerly anticipated My Little Pony movie has launched, ahead of its October 6 big screen release.

The film follows the ‘Mane 6’ – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity – as they team up with new Seaquestria friends to save Ponyville from evil ponies who are threatening to take over.

A star-studded voice cast includes Sia, Emily Blunt, Zoe Saldana and Liev Schreiber, who join the original TV series voice ensemble in the new adventure.

The director of the My Little Pony TV series – Jayson Thiessen – is also directing the movie, while both Sia and Lukas Graham have contributed songs.
