Finalists named for new Retail Execution category

New category at The Licensing Awards celebrates brand activity across the retail landscape.

The finalists in the inaugural Best Licensed Retail Execution category at this year’s Licensing Awards have been revealed.

The new category was open to all retailers or licensors entering on a retailer’s behalf. The aim is to celebrate the strong initiatives and activity surrounding brands and licences which has been taking place at retail level.

Ian Hyder, joint managing director of Max Publishing, said: “As the strong line-up of finalists testifies, retailers are really embracing the power of instigating licensing initiatives which really chime with their customers. This new award category is likely to go from strength to strength.”

The Best Licensed Retail Execution Award finalists are:

  • Batman v Superman Campaign from Primark
  • JCB Campaign from M&Co
  • Minions Activity from Asda
  • Peter Rabbit 150th Anniversary Programme from Mothercare
  • Star Wars Campaign from Argos
  • Star Wars Campaign from Tesco

The winner of the award will be revealed – alongside the winners of the other Retail, Product and Property awards – at The Licensing Awards on Tuesday September 13, which will take place in The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
