Fanattik secures monster sized deal with Toho International

UK-based pop culture brand, Fanattik has signed a multi-territory, multi-year deal with Toho International for the rights to produce Godzilla gifts, homewares and collectables.

The deal was brokered by Rocket Licensing, Toho International’s licensing agency.

Godzilla celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2024 and Fanattik will be producing a number of pieces celebrating the anniversary of what is one of the most iconic monsters of all time.

It will be presenting concepts to retailers at Spring Fair in February.

“We have a lot of experience working with Japanese studios, creating ranges for the likes of Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Yu-Gi-Oh!,” commented Melissa Tudor, creative director at Fanattik. “We will be putting all this experience to use when creating collectable pieces that will appeal to fans of Godzilla.”

Anthony Marks, md at Fanattik, continued: “Godzilla ticks all the boxes for Fanattik – an iconic pop culture franchise with an existing multi-generational fan base that are hungry for affordable exciting products to buy.”
