Factory adds first ever chief content officer

Zoë Bamsey joins animation studio from Coolabi as it continues on growth path.

Animation studio Factory has appointed its first ever chief content officer as it looks to continue on its growth trajectory.

Zoë Bamsey joins the company from Coolabi, where she was director of production and development with responsibility for sales, production, funding and development of all programming (including Poppy Cat, Clangers and Scream Street).

In her new role at Factory, Zoë will be responsible for identifying creatively-led business opportunities and new IP, as part of the animation studio’s ongoing business strategy and continued expansion into creating its own content and properties and growing its artistic output.

Phil Chalk, ceo at Factory said: “Zoë has an undeniable track record in children’s entertainment and is the perfect person to help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.

“Zoë stands for creative excellence and will be an ideal global ambassador for our studio.”

Zoë added: “I have greatly respected Factory as a partner, and their admirable formula of carefully curating unique and engaging properties and infusing them with creative passion and energy.

“I am excited to now be on board as a part of this great team to help them realise the tremendous opportunity of growing the company with an enhanced portfolio which will thrill and engage audiences globally.”
