Event Merchandising has set up shop in Scotland, opening the doors of a number of outlets for the UCI Cycling World Championships, which is currently taking place until 13 August.
The company is the master licensee for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow and Scotland, which began on 3 August. The role encompasses the management of wholesale, licensing and retail programmes, as well as venue retail operations throughout the Championships.
As the master licensee, Event Merchandising took charge of delivering and retailing licensed products through the official venue shops, local and national retail outlets, as well as the dedicated online store. The outlets include a superstore in George Square.
One of the highlights of the product range is the mascot Coo, along with locally inspired Scottish items such as a dedicated tartan crafted by Lochcarron of Scotland.
Lochcarron had the honour of hosting a visiting from the King and Queen during Holyrood Week, where it showcased its commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. Lochcarron’s use of responsibly sourced Scottish and British wool supports local wool farmers and reinforces its dedication to craftsmanship, quality and sustainable development.
