Art Ask Agency to represent hit social media brand in Europe.
Social media sensation Jimmy the Bull has bagged a European agent in the form of Art Ask Agency.
The brand was created by Rafael Mantesso, who started causing a stir with his photographical inventions of his bull terrier, Jimmy.
The photography and hand drawn elements have captured the world’s attention, with Jimmy now boasting an Instagram following of over 600,000.
As well as receiving recognition from the likes of The Times, USA Today and The Huffington Post, Rafael also has a book – A Dog Named Jimmy – which is now on the New York Times best seller list.
The European licensing drive is already underway for Jimmy the Bull, and includes gift and stationery partner Interstat (Holland) with a planned launch date later this year of a range of products.
On top of this, Mint Publishing – the sister company of Museums & Galleries – showcased its range of greeting cards at PG Live in June.
In addition, Art Ask Agency believes it has potential in apparel, gifts homewares and electronic accessories.
“It is an exciting moment for Art Ask Agency as the brand crosses gender, age, location and is hip and current,” commented Art Ask Agency’s Maria Strid.
Jimmy the Bull is being handled for licensing in the US by The Brand Liaison.
