Erve Group adds Poppy Playtime to gaming portfolio

Erve Group has today (12 September) revealed a new licensing deal with global gaming phenomenon Poppy Playtime.

The deal was made with US-based animation and game studio MOB Entertainment, the creator the game.

The first collections will be available for purchase across Europe and the UK from January 2023 onwards. The categories Erve will produce include daywear, nightwear, underwear, socks, accessories, swimwear and fabrics per metre.

“This is a good signing for us and our customers,” commented Nick Dierickx, EMEA licensing manager at Erve Europe. “The game is a worldwide hit and we see kids from all ages carrying their Huggy Wuggy anywhere they go. They are desperate for some Poppy Playtime clothing.”

Arno-Laurent Dieteren, global director of licences at Erve Group, continued: “Poppy Playtime is a typical game that attracts kids nowadays. The main character looks cute and terrifying at the same time. Our retailers are eagerly waiting for the first collections. Therefore, we are proud to add this to our broad portfolio of games, brands and licences.”

Drake Vögl from MOB Entertainment added: “The positive reception of Poppy Playtime around the world brings our company overwhelming pride and we can’t wait to expand the Playtime world for years to come.

“Erve is an excellent company and we are ecstatic that they will be able to provide fans in the European region official merchandise on our behalf.”
