Preschool show debuts on Nick Jr on October 5 with consumer products to follow.
Popular preschool show, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, is heading to US TV screens and retail aisles.
The show launches today (October 5) on Nick Jr, with the network acquiring both seasons. It is also home to fellow eOne stablemate, Peppa Pig.
Several US licensees have already expressed interest in licensing Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, with eOne’s New York office managing consumer products for the US market.
“Nick Jr is the perfect launch pad to introduce Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom to American audiences,” said Olivier Dumont, MD of Entertainment One Family.
“We’re thrilled that the series is winning the hearts of children in so many international territories and the exposure that Nick Jr will give the show in the US will create opportunities to further expand this pre-school franchise around the world.”
Created by Astley Baker Davies, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom already has over 65 licensees globally. Consumer products programmes are established in the UK and Spain, while there are also early signs of success in Australia and Italy.
In the next 12 months, programmes are due to roll out in Greece, Poland, Germany and Benelux.
