eOne extends PJ Masks into Taiwan

Toy launch and new broadcast partner confirmed for hit preschool brand.

eOne has expanded the hit PJ Masks brand into Taiwan, confirming the toy launch and a new broadcast partner.

The global audience reach of PJ Masks is expanding with the debut of the show this month on Taiwan’s Eastern Broadcasting’s cable channel Yoyo TV.

The series now airs daily on the country’s number 1 channel for kids, which is also home to eOne’s Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, which will be joining the channel’s programme line-up from October.

Meanwhile, kicking off the consumer products launch in Taiwan, Pro & Pacific is on board to distribute the toy range from master global toy partner, Just Play.

The first toy line will debut exclusively at Toys R Us stores from late September. The consumer products offering will also be bolstered in early 2018 as products begin rolling out at retail across key categories.

Andrew Carley, head of global licensing at eOne, said: “With its core values of adventure, teamwork and friendship, PJ Masks is striking a chord with young fans all around the world.

“We’re delighted to be expanding the brand’s presence in Asia with the added exposure of Yoyo TV and introduction of toys into the Taiwanese market this year.”
