emoji brand secures new charity partnership with Smile Train

Louis Kennedy is bringing the emoji brand together with Smile Train to further help funds and awareness for the cleft charity.

The charity is aiming to ‘change the world, one smile at a time’ by enabling free cleft surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children and adults in need around the world.

A cleft is a gap or split in the upper lip and/or roof of the mouth. 1 in 700 babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate globally and can cause difficulties eating, breathing, hearing and speaking.

By partnering with the emoji brand, Smile Train aims to raise as much money as possible to help provide a forever smile and second chance at life to a child living with an untreated cleft.

The deal was brokered by Big Picture Licensing.

“Bringing these amazing partners together, just makes me smile, as I’m sure it will everyone who sees it come to life at retail,” commented Tracey Richardson, licensing and partnerships director at Louis Kennedy. “We are developing a fun and affordable range of collectables and dental care items to raise funds and awareness for the charity so it can help even more children who cannot smile. We are now seeking retailers and FMCG brands to come on board to join in this amazing opportunity.”

Jason Shauness, UK fundraising director at Smile Train, continued: “Every child deserves the opportunity to lead a healthy, happy life, full of smiles. Smile Train UK’s partnership with emoji and Louis Kennedy will help us raise crucial funds and awareness for children with clefts, ensuring that even more children worldwide receive the life-changing treatment they urgently need.”

Marco Hüsges, ceo and founder of the emoji company, added: “We are excited to partner with Smile Train for such a meaningful cause. At the emoji company, spreading emotions and positivity is at the heart of everything we do. This collaboration for World Smile Day perfectly aligns with our mission to bring happiness to faces around the globe, and we are honoured to support Smile Train’s incredible work in changing lives through the power of a smile.”
