Elmer puts best foot forward with SockShop

New partnership is in support of Kidscape’s Friendship Friday initiative.

Andersen Press has confirmed a new partnership with online retailer, SockShop, as part of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’s support of anti-bullying charity Kidscape’s Friendship Friday initiative.

To mark the collaboration, SockShop has created a limited edition Elmer patchwork sock for adults and children, with a percentage from each purchase being donated to Kidscape.

This marks the first time that Elmer has appeared on socks for both adults and children, with the bamboo editions featuring the character’s famous patchwork.

“Elmer embodies the ideals of friendship and inclusivity, and for us to celebrate that with Kidscape on Friendship Friday has been fantastic, and to be able to further that partnership by bringing in SockShop we hope to spread the anti-bullying message further, and raise funds for the valuable work Kidscape does,” explained Paul Black, PR and brand director at Andersen Press.

The partnership between Andersen Press, Kidscape and SockShop was brokered by Louis Kennedy.

Friendship Friday is celebrated on November 8, ahead of Anti-Bullying Week (November 11-15). Elmer will be the face of the day for the first time, with fully branded resources available free of charge to schools and the public via Kidscape’s website.

The partnership forms part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for Elmer.
