Auction aimed to raise funds in aid of Sebastian’s Action Trust.
eBay held a special charity auction to mark the arrival of The LEGO Ninjago Movie last month.
The event saw the site partner with LEGO for an auction in aid of Sebastian’s Action Trust, which offers support to families of seriously ill children.
LEGO donated one of each of the new toys from the movie – which includes the likes of Ninjago Charity Case, Lightning Jet and Water Strider – to the auction via its nominated eBay seller, The Biggest Toy Store.
The auction ran between October 12-20, with fans bidding to be able to win and recreate adventures from the movie.
According to the online marketplace, LEGO was the UK’s third most wanted item of the past year, with over 4.4 million total searches on the site and a peak in November ahead of the Christmas period with five searches every second.
More than two LEGO related items were also sold every 30 minutes during one week in October.
