Black Panther sees six searches every hour in the last week alone after film success.
The success of the new movie has helped Black Panther to soar in the eBay.co.uk rankings of Marvel super heroes – beaten only by Deadpool.
The online marketplace has revealed its top ten Marvel heroes, with Black Panther being the subject of six searches every hour in the last week alone.
The king of Wakanda and African warrior was only out-ranked by fellow antihero, the one-liner slinging Deadpool, who had nearly 1,500 searches in the same time frame – working out to eight searches per hour.
With over 50,000 Black Panther related items currently listed on site – ranging from fierce feline cosplay masks to cake toppers – the newest addition to Marvel’s superhero crew is already outranking Avenger leaders like Captain America, Iron Man and Thor with 1,000 searches on the site compared to 800 searches a piece from his nearest rivals.

However, despite coming in last in searches, when it comes to buying power the boy wonder Peter Parker slinks back to the top of the Marvel Universe, with the most items sold.
There were more than 4,000 Spider-Man items snapped up by fans on eBay.co.uk in the last week – 24 every hour.
