Exclusive rights deal for the FIFA series also includes the Europa League.
EA Sports has inked a multi-year extension for exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League for its FIFA franchise.
In addition, the tie-up also covers the UEFA Europa League, with both competitions remaining exclusively playable on FIFA, reported SportsPro.
It continues a number of high-profile rights extensions for FIFA, having agreed new deals with Spain’s La Liga and Germany’s Bundesliga last year.
The extension with European soccer’s governing body will also see EA expand access to FIFA. This includes through a number of mobile offerings currently in development, and by broadening the PC free-to-download FIFA Online 4 title’s reach to potentially 80 million players in more than 15 new countries.
The franchise will also launch on Google’s Stadia service for the first time on March 17 with FIFA 21.
