DK ready to roll out first title under deal for The Baby Club

Play and Learn with Your Baby to launch on February 6 after deal brokered by Rockpool Licensing.

The first title under the deal between DK and The Baby Club is due to launch in February.

Play and Learn with Your Baby will arrive on February 6 (priced at £14.99), and follows on from the deal which was brokered by Rockpool Licensing.

The tie-in title for the CBeebies series – which is presented by Giovanna Fletcher and Nigel Clarke – is for babies aged 6-18 months and gives parents and carers ideas for interactive games, activities and songs to enjoy with their child.

“Play and Learn With Your Baby is The Baby Club’s very first product to market to become available at retail and we’re all so proud of the result,” commented Vickie O’Malley, md of Rockpool Licensing. “We’re deluged with requests for product on social media and it will be a real thrill to be able to point fans toward this fun and friendly read, crammed with research-based ideas and sound advice.”

In addition, an audiobook will accompany the print title with bonus content including Nigel reading his foreword and performing songs from the show.

“It’s been a few years since my kids were babies, but I have to confess that when they were little, I didn’t really tap into baby clubs,” added Nigel. “I lived in a family bubble and assumed that clubs weren’t that beneficial. How wrong I was! It’s only now, having led and studied baby groups, that I appreciate their enormous benefits.”
