Fox, Universal, Warner Bros, BBC also make Brand Finance top ten.
Disney has been named the most valuable media brand in the world in Brand Finance’s annual report.
Every year, valuation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance values the brands of thousands of the world’s biggest companies.
This year saw Disney record a brand value of $32.6 billion, according to the Brand Finance Media 25. Despite a 5% brand value decrease since 2017, such is the brand’s appeal that with an AAA+ brand rating and a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 92.3, it also came out as the strongest brand in the world not just within the media sector, but across all categories in this year’s Brand Finance Global 500 study.
Elsewhere, Fox was at number two in the listing with a brand value of just above $17 billion. NBC, Universal and CBS made up the remainder of the top five.
While the listing was dominated by US companies, the BBC was ranked at number eight with a brand value of $5.6 billion.
Other companies in the top ten were ABC, Warner Bros., ESPN and Thomson Reuters.
