Disney Store kicks off annual charity campaign

Retailer partners with national charities as part of its ‘From Our Family to Yours’ campaign.

The Disney Store has kicked off its annual Christmas campaign, which this year is supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and In Kind Direct.

The ‘From Our Family to Yours’ initiative was launched with a star studded special event at the Disney Store on London’s Oxford Street on November 10.

Celebrities including Claudia Fragapane, Danny Mac, Michelle Heaton, Jenni Falconer, Akin Solanke-Caulker, Vanessa Feltz and Debbie Douglas and their families all turned out to support the launch.

The From Our Family to Yours initiative invites families to post their own Letter to Santa into ‘Mickey’s magical post box’ at Disney Stores across the country.

For every letter that is posted a soft toy is donated to a child through Disney Store’s chosen national charities, up to a total of 20,000 across Europe. This is the eighth annual Christmas campaign to support children’s charities, and to date, it has donated over 140,000 soft toys throughout Europe.

In addition, all guests who make a purchase in-store or online before November 28 will be rewarded with a thank you card which contains a scratch panel to reveal a special gift.

Graham Burridge, md of Disney Store Europe, said: “Following the great success of our From Our Family to Yours campaign last year, we once again invite our guests to drop off their Letter to Santa in our stores to help spread some Disney magic this Christmas.

“Over the past seven years the response from the public to our annual charity campaigns has been wonderful and we hope even more people will get involved this year.”
