‘Modern, independent, capable, confident’ character is back in new film after 20 years.
With the movie opening in UK cinemas on June 21, the big reveals for Toy Story 4 keep coming, with Disney-Pixar teasing the return of Bo Peep after 20 years.
Last seen in Toy Story 2, Bo has been given a new look and is described by her ‘voice’ Annie Potts as “modern, independent, capable and confident”.
The gang’s long lost friend was something of a love interest for Woody, but over time Bo – once again voiced by Annie Potts – has become an adventure seeking free spirit, who feels right at home on the road.
When she and Woody are reunited under unlikely circumstances, they realise they’ve grown apart when it comes to life as a toy…
Josh Cooley, director of Toy Story 4, commented: “Bo’s taken control of her own destiny. While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can’t believe that they’ve found each other again.”
Annie added: “Bo is written and conceived to be inspiring as she has weathered life’s ups and downs with grace. I aspire to that.”
