Mickey and the Roadster Racers licensing revs up

IMC Toys, Just Play/Flair and Posh Paws all confirmed as licensees.

Disney has kicked off the licensing programme for Mickey and the Roadster Racers, announcing a trio of licensees.

IMC Toys, Just Play/Flair and Posh Paws are all on board for the property – which airs on Disney Junior and Disney Channel – with product launching from July.

To date, Mickey and the Roadster Racers has reached 48 million total viewers across its Disney Channel and Disney Junior premieres and encores, with nearly 17 million viewer connections via Disney Junior VOD and the Disney Junior App, and five million views on YouTube and Facebook.

In the US, it ranked as the number one series across preschooler TV networks.

Mike Stagg, svp and general manager for retail, UK and Ireland, said: “Preschoolers and their families around the world have enjoyed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for almost a decade and Mickey and the Roadster Racers is set to build on the success while introducing a new generation to an iconic character.

“The retail ranges from IMC, Just Play/Flair and Posh Paws are a great way for children to bring their favourite shows to life and encourage interaction between play and watching the show.”
