Discovery unveils new sustainable trainer partnership

Discovery has partnered with ethical fashion brand, Aqua & Rock on a new collaboration which is aiming to champion sustainability in fashion.

Aqua & Rock has designed an exclusive range of its signature trainers featuring designs inspired by Discovery’s core values. The line was showcased during London Fashion Week during Women of the City’s Sustainability Walk and will be available at Aqua & Rock’s Covent Garden location.

Aqua & Rock merged its distinctive trainer silhouette with the heritage of Discovery to create a shoe which ‘celebrates the pioneering work’ of both brands. The trainers, like all of Aqua & Rock’s designs, will be made without compromising on sustainability and will use the brand’s innovative bio-circular leather.

“At Discovery, we seek partners who support and embrace our core values to protect our Earth through collaborations that inspire our fans to join our cause,” said Ian Woods, svp international licensing at Discovery. “Aqua & Rock’s incredible designs and dedication to sustainable manufacturing practices made them an ideal partner, and we are thrilled to share these incredible trainers with consumers.”

Dea Baker, founder and md of Aqua & Rock, added: “Releasing a special edition of our sustainably made trainers, with a design inspired by the incredible work Discovery had done over the years, has been an honour. It’s collaborations like these, with the planet’s wellbeing at their heart, that will make a difference to our earth’s future.”
