In celebration of 40 years of the Care Bears brand, Difuzed, Sagoo France and JimmyPaul are celebrating the success of a vibrant high-end fashion collection for French retail chain, The Galeries Lafayette.
The pastel-coloured apparel line produced by Difuzed marks the first retail released for Amsterdam-based brand, JimmyPaul, since the debut of the Care Bears 40th anniversary couture dress at last year’s Brand Licensing Europe.
The collection was supported by a couture slip-dress which was unveiled at the first ever Care Bears pop-up store in France from 9 February to 16 March. The pop-up also includes textiles workshops, temporary tattoo and phone bejewelling stations.
The range is inspired by the original illustrations, which pay homage to the Care Bears paintings by Elena Kucharik.
According to JimmyPaul: “With this collection, now to be sold at Galeries Lafayette, it truly is a fashion dream come true. While I was working on the collection, the Care Bears made me smile and reminded me how fun it is to create.”
Difuzed’s Gustavo Antonioni continued: “Collaborations with fashion designers such JimmyPaul allow us to create halo events with great visibility for the many brands that we work with. Having a showcase at Galeries Lafayette is the result of a great marriage between the globally recognised Care Bears and the creativity of JimmyPaul.
“We supplied the product through our partnership with Creator Studio which allows us to bring to market extremely high-end print on demand product, perfect for events such as this with no inventory risk for the retailer or MOQ requirements for suppliers.”
