Deadline extended for the B&LLAs

Full house of top names sponsor the new brand licensing awards.

The deadline for entering the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2016 has been extended to Wednesday February 10, giving entrants an extra week to submit.

The new deadline covers the product, property and retail award categories. The awards are all entered on online (with no charge for entering).

“With this being ‘trade show season’, so many people have contacted us pleading for a bit more time to enter the B&LLAs. Giving everyone an extra week to get their entries submitted has gone down well, meaning we will have an even stronger line-up for judges to consider,” commented Ian Hyder, joint managing director of Max Publishing, which owns and organises the awards.

The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards are breaking new ground in recognising the dynamism and growth of brand and lifestyle licensing. These new awards are for non-entertainment licensed properties (think upstairs at BLE), their associated merchandise and retailers who sell them.

The industry support for the B&LLAs has grown immeasurably over the last few months with TLC, CPLG and TLP coming on board recently to complete the roster of category sponsors, joining many other leading names.

The product awards are specifically for ranges and/or individual items of licensed brand merchandise that have been launched at retail (including in the UK) January 1 2015-December 31 2015, while the licensed property categories are for the licensing activity of a specific brand over this same period.

The retailer categories cover the retailing treatment of brand licensed merchandise over the same period too.

The finalists will be announced in March with the winners being unveiled at a fabulous daytime awards event to be held in the Ballroom of The Dorchester on Wednesday April 20 2016.

The current B&LLAs sponsors include Advanstar/BLE (which is headline sponsor), LIMA, TLC, Beanstalk, Hallett Retail, Golden Goose, Brands With Influence, CPLG, Discovery Consumer Products, Kimm & Miller, JCB, Start Licensing, Happy Jackson, TLP, Brand Licensing Select, IFL Science, Pringles, Octane 5 and Spring Fair.
