DB Foods has secured a new partnership with WeightWatchers which will see it introduce branded ready-to-cook protein products to the UK market.
The partnership was brokered by Beanstalk, WW’s licensing agency for the UK, with the range including chicken, lamb, beef, pork and game.
The first phase of the range will launch in Ocado from this month (April), featuring ready-to-cook pre-seasoned lean, low-calorie and low-sodium chicken dishes (Fajita Chicken Strips, Naked Katsu Chicken Breasts, Hunters Chicken) and lean, low-calorie and low-sodium sausages (pork & chicken), packed full of flavour and designed for both WeightWatchers members and those seeking healthier, balanced meal solutions to hit their nutrition goals.
“At WeightWatchers, we are committed to making healthy eating easier and more accessible for everyone,” commented Scott Honken, chief commercial officer at WeightWatchers. “This partnership with DB Foods is a direct response to the growing demand from our members. With an increasing focus on protein intake, especially among those managing GLP-1 and menopause, we are thrilled to offer high-quality, nutritionally balanced protein products that align with our members’ needs.”
Graeme Clapp, commercial director at DB Foods, continued: “Protein plays a vital role in a balanced lifestyle, especially for those on a weight health journey. It strengthens body tissue, provides energy, and aligns with the WeightWatchers science-backed weight management programme, making it an excellent choice for members and health-conscious consumers alike.”
