David Beckham teams with Kent & Curwen

Five-year deal with British sporting brand will see launch of new stores and collections.

David Beckham continues to underline his fashion credentials, tying up a five-year deal with British sporting brand, Kent & Curwen.

The agreement will apparently see David personally involved in multiple aspects of the business.

These will include product development, marketing expansion and campaigns, as well as the launch of new clothing collections, the first of which will arrive in the autumn.

Among the plans are the launch of new flagship stores in China and other markets, as well as the introduction of an e-commerce site.

David will also be working with Kent & Curwen’s new creative director, Daniel Kearns.

The ceo of parent company Trinity Limited, Richard Cohen, commented: “Kent & Curwen was established in 1926 as a sports-related gentlemen’s fashion brand, so it’s a perfect fit to have David as a business partner – a true gentleman, celebrated for his fashion style, and the British sports hero of his generation.”
