Industry urged to save Friday March 5 for special send off to a licensing legend.
The family of Kelvyn Gardner have set a date of Friday March 5 to hold a special online memorial tribute in his honour.
The licensing industry is being urged to save late afternoon/early evening on the date in their diaries, with more details to come as the family finalises the format for the send off.
Kelvyn’s wife Michelle and children, Regan and Eliot, commented: “As you all know during these desperate times with restrictions due to COVID-19 affecting us all, there are so many things that are not as we would want or wish them to be.
“And so in order to ensure that those that would have wanted to attend Kelvyn’s funeral and sadly could not, we have decided to look outside of the box and do something different, rather like Kelvyn’s bright jackets!”
Those wishing to make a donation in Kelvyn’s memory can do so via The Light Fund.
All monies collected will then be divided between two charities that were close to Kelvyn – the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation (the charitable arm of Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club which was created to provide life changing opportunities through sport, education, health and the arts which enrich, inspire and celebrate the Warrington community – https://warringtonwolvesfoundation.com/) and Help Musicians (an independent UK charity for professional musicians of all genres – https://www.helpmusicians.org.uk/)
