Popular licensing director to semi-retire after 18 years with the company.
Industry stalwart Trevor Jones, licensing director of Danilo Promotions, is semi-retiring at the end of February.
Trevor will remain on the Danilo board and retain an involvement in the licensing direction of the calendar and greeting card company.
Dan Grant will be joining the company on March 21 in the role of senior licensing manager. He currently holds a similar position at Hallmark Cards.
Reflecting on the last 18 years since he joined Danilo, pioneering the company’s move into licensed greeting cards as well as developing its licensed calendar portfolio, Trevor said: “It has been an amazing 18 years, but the time is right for me now to take semi-retirement.
“Danilo is doing exceptionally well at retail and I am so proud of all the awards and accolades the company has won over the years.”
Trevor was presented with the Honorary Achievement award in the UK Licensing Awards in 2009 for his commitment to the licensing industry, including as long serving chairman of the Character Exchange (collaboration of licensees), as well as The Light Fund industry charity.
Trevor is to continue his chairmanship of both for the coming year.
