Despicable Me collection awarded Best Licensed Range.
Danilo is continuing on its award winning streak – picking up the Best Licensed Range at The Henries last night (October 8).
The company’s Despicable Me collection fought off competition from Disney Frozen from UK Greetings; Harold’s Planet from Clare Maddicott; Laura Meare from Hallmark; MODA from The Great British Card Company; and Quentin Blake from Woodmansterne.
Over 700 greeting card industry publishers and retailers attended The Henries, which honours the industry’s best greeting card ranges and is owned and organised by LicensingSource.net’s Max Publishing stablemate, Progressive Greetings.
Over 14,000 greeting cards were entered into The Henries this year, judged by a panel of over 40 retailers, including buyers from John Lewis, Scribbler, Paperchase, Waitress, Tesco, Waterstones and a host of independents.
Celebrating its 20th year, the theme was Roaring Twenties, and the event was hosted by comedian Mark Watson.
Warren Lomax, joint owner of The Henries, said: “What a fantastic night for the UK greeting card industry. It is great to shine the spotlight on the fantastic creativity, innovation and design within the greeting card industry.”
