Danger Mouse takes on new mission with Wimpy

Character is part of six-week promotion with family restaurant chain across the UK.

Danger Mouse is about to embark on a tasty new mission, with Boat Rocker Rights teaming up with family restaurant chain, Wimpy.

Secured by marketing agency Brand & Deliver, and running at 71 Wimpy restaurants during the summer holidays (July 23 to September 2), customers will have a chance to win Danger Mouse prizes by collecting a unique ‘Secret Agent’ code printed on activity sheets available in-store.

In addition to activity sheets and in-store promotional materials, Wimpy is supporting the promotion digitally with a homepage takeover and competition page on its new website, as well as a social campaign across Facebook and Twitter.

Every visitor who enters a valid code will be awarded an ‘Agent Training’ certificate, in addition to the chance to win exclusive Danger Mouse prizes.

The first prize includes a back to school visit from Danger Mouse, a Nintendo Switch,  and the Mission Improbable DVD, with runners up receiving Nintendo Switch consoles.

Courtesy of Boat Rocker’s app and game partner, 9th Impact, the Nintendo Switch is offered in celebration of multi-player game The Danger Games, which launches on the console during the Wimpy promotion.

“We are delighted to be teaming up with Wimpy for this exciting promotion,” said Nicola Herrmann, director global brands at Boat Rocker Rights. “As one of the UK’s favourite family restaurants, they are a perfect match with our great British hero Danger Mouse, and we are sure their customers will have a lot of fun testing their secret agent skills.”

Chris Woolfenden, general manager at Wimpy UK, added: “It’s great to be chosen as the ‘not so secret’ location for this fabulous Danger Mouse promotion, which adds a new dimension to our family dining experience.

“Kids enjoy our tasty Wimpy treats and they love seeing what Danger Mouse is getting up to next, so this is the perfect combination of delicious food and a fun activity to bring extra excitement to their visit. We’re sure the promotion will be a great success.”
