Danger Mouse and Shopkins among Best New Toys

Thunderbirds and Teletubbies also named in this year’s Toy Fair listing.

A host of licensed lines have been named in this year’s Best New Toys list at London Toy Fair.

The awards consisted of 13 categories, with 35 winning toys from 25 different companies. They are voted for by a panel of independent toy retailers.

Among the licensed winners was the Danger Mouse Mark IV Danger Car from Jazwares, as well as Vivid’s Supersize Thunderbird 3 play-set.

Shopkins Shoppies Dolls from Flair; Teletubbies 8-inch Talking Plush from Character Options; Paw Patrol Air Patroller from Spin Master; and Rainbow Designs’ Whizzpopping BFG were also named.

“Once again, we are delighted to be able to showcase the winners at Toy Fair,” commented Natasha Crookes from the BTHA.

“It’s fantastic to see such a diverse range of products on offer this year – for every budget and play experience. More than 50,000 new toys enter the market each year that need to excite parents and children alike. This year’s winners once again highlight the innovation and creativity of the UK toy industry.”
