Cry Babies brand makes video game move

IMC Toys’ Cry Babies brand is making the move into the video games space.

IMC has partnered with Merge Games for the digital launch of Cry Babies Magic Tears: The Big Game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on 22 September.

Physical versions of the game on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms will follow the digital launch – hitting shelves in retailers including Signature Edition Games from 29 September.

The Big Game sees characters Lady, Coney, Dreamy and friends take part in a tournament around multiple worlds inspired by the Cry Babies series to win the fabled ‘Golden Pacifier’.

Each victory takes players to a new world from the popular animated series – from Baby Bottle Valley and Fantasy Mountain through to Tutti Frutti Bay and Icy World. Players can customise the Cry Babies, collecting pink stars throughout the game to spend on new clothes and outfits for the characters.

With more than 4.5 million loyal fans and 10m+ units sold in the last two years, Cry Babies is one of the bestselling toy ranges for young girls in Europe and the US. The animated series – now on its sixth season – boasts more than 5.5+ billion views across YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, plus a host of local stations and streaming platforms worldwide.
