CPLG adds partners for The Addams Family

Key licensees joining programme include Smiffys, Rose Confectionery, Aykroyds, TDP.

CPLG has secured a number of licensees for MGM’s upcoming animated reboot of The Addams Family film.

Smiffys is on board for dress-up for the UK, Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Nordics, Greece and Central Eastern Europe and will be developing a range of dress-up and accessories for the whole family.

In the UK, Rose Confectionery is creating a range of Addams Family themed sweets, Aykroyds and TDP will be launching a range of children’s nightwear, and Global Brands Group is on board to develop a range of apparel and accessory items.

In addition, Park Agencies will be developing an adult daywear range featuring imagery from the original 1964 Addams Family Classic TV series.

In Germany, online retailer EMP has taken a direct to retail deal to develop apparel and accessories, while My Other Me Fun Company has signed for dress-up and party paperwear in Iberia and France.

Finally, in Italy, Ciao is on board for dress-up, party goods and decorations, while Echo will create an on-pack consumer promotion with Negroni Golsino.

“The Addams Family are such an icon of Halloween, it is great to see MGM bringing them back for the younger generations to enjoy,” said John Taylor, md of CPLG UK and France. “The products we’re seeing in development are incredible and as Halloween grows as a seasonal pillar in the calendar, this is a fantastic property for retail to get behind.”

The new movie will debut later on this month in cinemas.
