Coco triumphs at Golden Globes 2018

Disney-Pixar film wins Best Animated Motion Picture at glittering ceremony.

Disney-Pixar was among the winners at the Golden Globes 2018 on Sunday evening, with its latest title – Coco – being awarded Best Motion Picture in the Animated category.

The movie – which is due to open in the UK on January 29 – beat competition from The Boss Baby, Ferdinand, Loving Vincent and The Breadwinner to pick up the accolade.

However, it was pipped to the post for Best Song by This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.

Game of Thrones and Stranger Things also missed out in the Best Television Series: Drama category, with The Handmaid’s Tale taking the prize.

The Golden Globes kick starts the Hollywood awards season. The Grammy Awards will take place on January 28, while the Oscars is dated for March 4.
