Cast of top characters star as Hamleys readies for ‘biggest toy parade London has ever seen’.
Hamleys is to transform London’s Regent Street with a traffic-free, all-day extravaganza on November 28, with a major toy parade.
The first toy parade of its kind on Regent Street, it will feature a host of favourite characters. These will include Barbie and her pink limo, Bing and Flop, Fireman Sam, Hello Kitty, Peppa Pig, Power Rangers, Sonic the Hedgehog, Snoopy and Charlie Brown, Sylvanian Families, Thunderbirds, the Transformers truck Optimus Prime and Twirlywoos.
There will also be a special appearance by Father Christmas, the Hamleys Elves, and Hamley and Hattie bear.
The parade will begin at 10.30am on Saturday November 28, and will run from Air Street close to Piccadilly Circus almost all the way to Oxford Circus. It will be followed by ‘meet and greet stations’ throughout the day.
The Hamleys Main Stage area outside of the toy shop will host entertainment from just after midday and welcome a very special guest for the finale at 4.30pm.
“We’ve always said we have so much magic and theatre in our great toy shop that it could literally spill out into the street, and now it’s true,” said Mark Drummond, Hamleys’ head of marketing
“We are really looking forward to seeing families enjoying one of the biggest celebrations of toys to be assembled in this country on Regent Street, one of the country’s most iconic shopping destinations.”
