Chris Leonard-Morgan is pen poised as London Stationery Show registration goes live

As registration for the London Stationery Show goes live, the other big news is that the event’s original founder Chris Leonard-Morgan is back on board.

Chris has joined as special advisor and will work alongside the show’s event manager Chantelle White and the Max Publishing directors, following their recent acquisition of the show from Ocean Media Group.

“I was thrilled to have been asked by Max Publishing, the new owners of the London Stationery Show, to work with them on the exhibition as well as National Stationery Week, the Stationery Awards and the Stationery Matters media,” said Chris. “I’ve known and admired the Max leadership team of Jakki Brown, Warren Lomax, Ian Hyder and Rob Willis, for over 20 years, it’s great to be working alongside them and Chantelle to take the show forward to a higher level and wider audience.”

Chris is a passionista for all things stationery, underlined by his becoming a liveryman of the 621 year old Worshipful Company of Stationers & Newspaper Makers.

Chris is in no doubt that “London Stationery Show is in good hands. Max Publishing is well placed to take advantage of the opportunities and synergy which exists with its market leading titles to take the London Stationery Show and stationery itself to a higher level and wider audience. I feel very happy that I will be a part of it rather than just watching from the sidelines,” he added.

Having founded the show in 2010, building it from one room at the BDC to taking over the whole exhibition area and expanding from a National Stationery Day to a whole week of celebrations for pens, pencils, notebooks et al under National Stationery Week, Chris sold the business, including the Stationery Matters publication, to Ocean Media in 2016.

Sharing her joy about Chris, Max Publishing’s md Jakki Brown added: “It’s fabulous for Chris to be back up there where he belongs, right at the beating heart of the stationery industry for which he has done so much over the years.”

It’s full steam ahead on plans for the show, which takes place 14-15 May at the Business Design Centre in Islington with a whole roster of leading companies and entrepreneurial companies already having booked their stands. Registration for buyers, wholesalers, overseas distributors and licensors has now gone live. To register, click here.

Perfectly positioned as the ultimate destination for arts, crafts, writing and paper buyers, London Stationery Show exhibitors include Blueprint Stationery, Charfleet Book Bindery, Coffee Notes, Crayola, Daler-Rowney, Edding, Exacompta Clairefontaine, Manuscript, N Smith, Nu, Pentel, Pukka Pads, Royal Talens, Semikolon, Silvine, Stabilo, Staedtler, Studio Pens, Tallon International, The Pilot Pen Company, Zebra Pen and many more.

Taking place in the middle of National Stationery Week, which runs from Monday to Sunday, 13-19 May, LSS is the show for all stationery lovers and buyers so make sure you register to attend the fabulous 2024 event here.
