Childrensalon picks up first licensed clothing line

Penguin Ventures partners with online retailer for Peter Rabbit and Flower Fairies.

Penguin Ventures has teamed with Childrensalon.com for a new range of Peter Rabbit and Flower Fairies clothing.

For Childrensalon – an online retailer specialising in children’s designer fashion – this is its first foray into the licensed world.

In keeping with the original artwork and in line with Childrensalon’s traditional aesthetic, the two collections pay homage to the iconic British illustrations from The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Flower Fairies books.

Featuring 100 pieces combined, the two collections include a wide range of styles from babygrows to pyjamas, and bathrobes to blankets, for babies and children aged between new-born to 12 years old.

“We are delighted to be working with Childrensalon on their first-ever licensed character clothing range,” said Jen Greenway, category manager softlines at Penguin Ventures. “Their ecommerce programme and subsequent global reach is truly impressive and they have taken great care over developing the range to an incredibly high standard. We can’t wait to see the response at retail.”

Michele Harriman-Smith, Childrensalon’s ceo, added: “Both Peter Rabbit and Flower Fairies have become synonymous with every childhood, always remaining quintessentially British, and we are incredibly excited about these wonderful brand collaborations.”
