Thousands of executives from across the globe flooded through the doors of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas last week for Licensing Expo 2023 – and what a week it was.
The entertainment presentations, news, star performers, brands to watch and deals came thick and fast, with something to suit pretty much everyone on the show floor.
The opening day of the show saw Licensing International unveil its eighth Global Licensing Industry Study, conducted by third-party research firm Brandar Consulting LLC.
Global sales of licensed merchandise and services reached a groundbreaking $340.8 billion in 2022, an uptick of 8% compared to 2021.
Other headline grabbing news came in the form of the winners of the Licensing International Excellence being crowned including adidas, Van Gogh Museum, Coca-Cola, Octane5, Crayola, Dolly Parton, Sesame Street x UGG, Minecraft and Squishmallows among others.
Meanwhile, Products of Change held a series of roundtables and sessions to further educate the industry on sustainable change, including a high profile discussion with key brand owners including Disney, Universal Music, NFL Players Association, and the LEGO Group, led by founder and ceo Helena Mansell-Stopher.
Meanwhile, attendees at the Opening Night Party were treated to a performance from Ja Rule.
